Ingridients

For frying the paneer:

  • Paneer – 200 grams or 1 ½ cups, cut into cubes
  • All purpose flour – 2 tablespoons
  • Corn flour or cornstarch – 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper powder – ¼ teaspoon
  • Soy sauce – 1 teaspoon
  • Water – 3 tablespoons
  • Oil – 1-2 tablespoons, for shallow frying

For chilli paneer:

  • Oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic cloves – 2 large or 2 teaspoons chopped finely
  • Ginger – ½ inch piece or 2 teaspoons chopped finely
  • Green chilli – 2, chopped finely
  • Onion – ½ cup, cut into big chunks
  • Capsicum or green pepper – ½ cup, cut into big chunks
  • White vinegar or rice vinegar – 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce – 1 tablespoon
  • Ketchup – 2 ½ tablespoons
  • Red chilli sauce – 1 tablespoon
  • Salt – to taste
  • Black pepper powder – ¼ teaspoon or to taste
